Spirit Kit Care Packages
Parents, one of the best ways to get your students acclimated to the campus spirit is by ordering them one of the SAC Spirit Kits. These are the perfect items to supply all the right UTC gear for your child.
Currently, the SAC offers a Freshmen Welcome Kit and soon will offer the Mocs Spirit Kit available with the FAM Deluxe Option.
For more information please see SAC Spirit Kits.
Get Involved - Student Organizations
Based on alumni interviews, we have discovered that students who are involved on campus have a far greater sense of affinity to the University once they leave. Not only that, but getting involved in a student organization offers a way for students to both exhibit their leadership potential and make friends that often last forever. There is a wide variety of student organizations in which you can get involved. For a complete list, please click here.
The UTC Future Alumni Members - known as The FAM - is one of the best student organizations to help
students get involved on campus and around the Chattanooga community. FAM members participate in
community “FAMily” groups that help to preserve campus traditions, enhance school spirit and prepare them for their future role as alumni. The best part is that The FAM is free and open to all students.
After one semester of classes, students are eligible to apply for membership in the Student Alumni Council. SAC, which has been on campus since 1974, serves as the leadership organization of the FAM and represents UTC as ambassadors during several University programs and events . Learn more about The FAM and SAC at www.utcfam.com.
Alumni Mentor Program
The Alumni Career Mentoring Program is a great way for UTC students and alumni to get in touch with other UTC graduates who can provide information or direction about career choices. The program consists of a database of alumni who have volunteered to share their career experiences and advice with students and other alumni. These individuals have diverse academic backgrounds and represent many industries, career fields, job functions and locations.
